International Practice
We have represented multinational clients in commercial disputes for more than 30 years.  Our representation of European clients in state and federal courts in the United States has focused largely on complex, high stakes international banking and international investment disputes.  We also have represented European and Asian entities in negotiation and preparation of distribution agreements, joint venture agreements, leases, loan agreements, employment agreements, supply agreements and termination agreements.  In addition, we have advised foreign clients entering U.S. markets in organizing their domestic affairs and operations to avoid business disputes.

In representing multinational clients, we work closely with their overseas counsel, outside consultants, and specialists.  Working together, we aim to eliminate cultural barriers and thereby forge a winning strategy that addresses the client’s business concerns.  We have developed relationships with leading lawyers in Paris, London, Geneva, Frankfurt, Brussels, Munich, and other European cities whom we call upon when the matters we are handling require knowledge and analysis of European law.

Our international clients’ needs most often are within one of our principal areas of expertise, such as litigation or business and commercial law.  When requested, we recommend and supervise the efforts of specialists in additional areas to ensure that our clients receive the best quality service.
